Engage 11 at the Grand Del Mar

Raj Tents were honored to be part of Engage 11 at the Grand Del Mar in San Diego over the Memorial Day weekend. The stunning Spanish Colonial Venue, with its sumptuous Aria Lawn that is as smooth as a golfing green was the perfect place for Raj Tents to set up a Triple Grand Maharaja tent for the luncheon. Many thanks to Paige Levy, who runs a top-notch operation and is great to work with. Engage 11 was an opportunity for 250 top professionals working in the luxury wedding market to spend four days together on a business intensive, with a good dash of fun thrown in, all orchestrated by the ultra-inspiring Rebecca Grinnals.

Speakers at Engage 11 were pretty much the who’s who of the top end of the Wedding Industry and included: Rebecca Grinnals & Kathryn Arce of Engaging Concepts;  David BeahmTodd FiscusMarcy BlumMindy WeissSimon T BaileyMonique Lhuillier;  Abby Larson, Founder and Editor of Style me Pretty;  Harmony Walton, Founder of the Bridal Bar;  Christy Weber, Co-Founder and Editor of JunebugWeddings; Carley Roney, Founder and Editor-in-Chief, the Knot and Millie Bratten, Editor-in-Chief, Brides Magazine.

"Raj Tents has not been held back by normal ideas of what a tent should be. They have reinvented the tent and are one of the top 10 new innovative companies in the luxury wedding industry” , Rebecca Grinnals

For the luncheon on Tuesday 31st May, Raj Tents set up a Triple Grand Maharaja, with cream exteriors, honey glow golden beige interiors, ornate cream and gold scalloping, breezy drapes and elegant crystal chandeliers. The traditional tent is especially romantic and the perfect environment for all to enjoy a fabulous lunch with colleagues and friends.

Sylvia Weinstock demonstrated her art in building a gorgeous wedding cake (as well as charming everyone effortlessly), Lehr & Black provided outrageously stylish menus and the food was dreamy. Maurice Walsh, Co-Founder of Raj Tents was glad to see some of the fab partners we are so proud to work with at Engage. Part of the value of being able to connect under such favorable circumstances with the crème de la crème of the industry, is that one appreciates how much everyone contributes. The wedding industry comprises of many players, all trying to do the best they can for their clients and in the process inspiring one another to go a step further.

Congratulations on a fabulous event and much appreciation to all involved for stirring us all so magnificently.

Many thanks to Mel Barlow for the great pictures featured on this post, just wish we had space for more!
