Wedding Planner Magazine May 2014

Great to see a lovely picture of Raj Tents’ Grand Pavilions on the cover of the current issue of Wedding Planner Magazine. We were asked to contribute some tips and ideas on how to …’Make your Tented Events Shine’. The cover picture certainly illustrates the first suggestion:

1. Accentuate the tent’s character:  The right tent will not get in the way of a gorgeous location. Framing views and adding something meaningful on a human scale creates an emotional environment.

Wendi and David’s Wedding in Ceremony Magazine, San Diego

Great to see Wendi and David’s wonderful wedding featured in Ceremony Magazine’s San Diego 2014 edition. Thanks to Susanne Duffy of Crown Weddings who brought us in to install the lovely Grand Pavilion and Pergola wedding tenting at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California. It was a beautiful day with long vistas of the surrounding hills, verdant greens of the immaculate ground and lovely English roses against which the Honey Glow and Orange color way of the tenting really stood out. Thanks to Jennifer Cole Florals and La Tavola Linens for making all look so perfect!

Awards Season 2014

Congratulations to all of this year’s nominees! Looking forward to some great parties.

Engage 13 at the Montelucia

What a wonderful week at Engage 13 at the Montelucia Resort and Spa in Phoenix last month! Rebecca Grinnals and Kathryn Arce have created something very, very special on so many levels. As well as a place to learn, gain insights and pull back the zoom on the Wedding Industry to get the big picture, it is exceptionally nurturing on a personal, emotional level. Seeing old friends again and making new connections in a dynamic, challenging and supportive environment was a real privilege.

The attention to detail was immaculate from registration at the start to the over the top closing night Gala. Just want to express my appreciation to Todd Events for design and décor; Suite 206’s great furniture; La Tavola for their lovely linens;  Dazian Fabrics for the stage and gala draping; Angelic Grove, Butterfly Petals, Blume Events, Wild Child Floral Design, The Flower Studio, Lux Florist, Table Tops Etc., Flora Bella and Todd Events for the fabulous florals; then all the delightful goodies we got from Gifts for the Good Life, Arak Kanofsky Studios, Taylor’d Favors, The Birthday Party Project, and Checkerboard; West Coast Music – especially for the spectacular 20-something piece band for the Gala; Design Sound and  PSAV for the sound and vision; I Do Films, Elysium Productions, Chellise Michael, Scott Clark Photography and Elan Artists (pictures on this post courtesy of Elan Artists) for the beautiful videos and stills.
