WIPA - “Romancing the (Destination) Bride”

On the 4th, members of the Wedding Industry Professionals Association met at The Grand Del Mar in San Diego to hear Rebecca Grinnalds of Engaging Concepts share her insights into a very exciting segment of the wedding market – Destination Weddings. Raj Tents see Destination Weddings as a market that can benefit greatly from exclusive tenting that is customized for the locality and needs of the venue and planner allowing them to offer fresh, flexible and beautiful tenting choices to their brides. Raj Tents were glad to be involved and showcase a fabulous Grand Maharaja tent with honey glow beige interior for the lunch along with several matching Pergola tents for buffets.

The meeting was put together by Paige Levy of the fabulous Grand Del Mar. The architecture of the opulent, Mediterranean-style resort, set in a secluded canyon near San Diego was a perfect setting for Raj Tents.

Maurice Walsh, co-founder of Raj Tents, attended the WIPA event and was glad to renew connections with old contacts as well as meet new industry professionals on a splendid Californian summer’s day. Maurice also lined up Anthony O’Farrell, Raj Tent’s San Francisco Bay Area Production Manger to attend the WIPA meeting at the St. Regis in San Francisco the day before.
