Voices in the Park on Saturday 15th September

We are proud to have been asked back to Vancouver to provide luxury tenting for the Voices in the Park concert in Stanley Park next week. The concert is in support the Sarah McLachlan School of Music, which is dedicated to helping young people in Vancouver realize their musical potential. This year’s line up includes Sarah McLachlan, Bryan Adams, Stevie Nicks, Jann Arden, Hedley, Hey Ocean! and a special guest appearance by Bill Clinton.

In 2009, Raj Tents travelled to Vancouver for Sarah’s “Summer Session” concert at Ambleside Park which was a great success, with Sheryl Crow and Neil Young performing along with a host of others. It was a perfect late summer’s day surrounded by mountains and forests and shared by those quick off the mark enough to get a ticket, which sold out within minutes. The VIP tents with bright alternating cool aqua and spicy orange arched walls, scalloping and drapes, framed one side of the concert enclosure with vibrant color.

The following day, Sarah held a party at her home which Raj Tents turned into a beautifully tented, Indian themed lounge. On one side was a high, open ended tent in ivory with gold star print and gold and amber Ajmer lights to house the stage. On the other was a honey glow lined tent with matching scalloping and orange accents. Both tents had Raj low lounge furniture and jewel perimeter lights. Dominic Mitchell, co-founder of Raj Tents, was there to supervise the installation and, of course, thoroughly enjoy the concert!
